Dear Friends
Last Saturday (17th May) we had a wedding at Central Hall. Martin Cawkwell and Sithembiso Ndlovu, this was our first wedding since 2001.
They met each other while Martin was paying a phone bill and from that chance meeting their relationship developed and they fell deeply in love with each other. In fact they had dreamt about each other before they even met! They came to us last October after noticing one of our banners on display on
The service was a wonderful mix of cultures and the smell of food during the ceremony was wonderful. A friend, Mark, read to us from
1 Corinthians 13. A familiar passage reminding us that love is patient and kind, that love lasts for ever and endures. The letter to the Corinthians says nothing about love pops up while paying the phone bill! Martin and Tembie have agreed to a lifetime with one another. During the ceremony the congregation pledged their support for the couple.
Can I ask for your prayers as well as they begin a new life together? So that they will know that love really does last for ever.
God Bless,
Luke
RINGS ON TINS!!
If you remember the tins with rings and crisps, etc. Gathered at last Harvest Festival were stored so that those in need could be given a selection. This store has now run out. So that we can continue helping those people we should be grateful for any donations of the above items.
These can be left in the office. Thank you

A BIG THANK YOU to all who came to our anniversary, we had a wonderful time, and it was lovely to be supported by so many! The choir and band was super as ever, thank you. The collection came to £156.59 with some more promised. The faith tea was delicious with the table heaving as ever, thanks for everyone’s generosity. The Word was brought to us by Bridgette and really spoke to many! Thank you to her for sharing her gift and inspiring us to explore and share our own gifts. The Word as we all know is very powerful but what really touched me was the children who were playing, came and sat to listen to her. Last year I remember Stephen passing comment on being touched by looking at the children sitting at his feet as he spoke. What an awesome God we have, and how precious are our children! Jacky
