Dear friends,

What an exciting day we have today! This morning at Selby Street Diana is preaching. This is great as Diana is now feeling much better after she has not been well. At Central Hall, the annual Battle of Britain service is being held. I think over the year it attracts a larger congregation than any other morning service.

This evening the service at Central Hall, although led by me the preacher is Paul Dawson. As Paul has not been with us long, he brings a fresh approach and ideas to our circuit which I really appreciate.

On Tuesday evening a local preachers meeting was held, at that meeting we enjoyed fellowship, shared communion and prayed for one another. Also during our time together we spoke about next Sunday evenings service at Central Hall.

The service will be slightly different from our usual format. The service is entitled “This is my story... This is my song”. The service will be led by many of our preachers and each preacher will share their testimony and we will sing a hymn or song of their choice. I am looking forward to an evening of not just testimony and singing but am sure this will be a great time of encouragement and up lift to us all.

This is a change from the united service which had previously been planned. The united service will now take place in Advent.

God Bless,

Luke

Prayer in Motion

by Dean Martin

Sometimes in our lives,

We pray to heaven above,

Even if we’re on the move.

God still shows us his love.

We are always far to busy,

Throughout each passing day,

And often don’t have,

The time to pray.

It only takes a moment,

Put other thoughts behind,

Think for a minute,

Pray in your mind.

When you ever,

Get the notion,

Try using mindful,

Prayer in motion.
