Evening Praise
Words for Meditation: He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. Even youths will faint and be weary, and the young will fall exhausted; but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Dear friends,
Mark 1v31 Jesus went and took hold of her hand, and raised her to her feet. The fever left her, and she attended to their needs.
Have you ever done anything really stupid? Not thinking about what you are doing? A couple of years ago I cut my finger. I was repairing something. I couldn’t bothered to find the right tool. So I decided to cut a piece of wire with a knife. Unfortunately my finger got in the way. There was blood everywhere!
I went to hospital, not daring to look, fearing the worse, feeling the pain and cursing myself for being so daft. They patched it up and I had to go back to the hospital every two days to change the dressing. What took seconds to cause took weeks to heal up.
In this verse Jesus heals a woman instantly (no back and forth to hospital like me) Simon’s mother in law was healed instantly and to prove it she got up and made a meal for at least 6. The touch of Jesus was enough.
Mark 1v31 comes from a passage about the authority of Jesus. About His touch how it can make all the difference. Where ever you find yourself reading this today, I pray you too will know the touch of Jesus and it makes all the difference to you.
God Bless,
Luke

Easter Celebration
There will be a celebration this Easter Sunday in the City Hall to which you and those you know are enthusiastically invited. Some details are yet to be confirmed but we have been bold enough to invite the Archbishop of York to be present and will, as ever, bring you an evening of powerful worship, inspirational teaching and celebration of the resurrection. We will unpack the significance of the resurrection and be encouraged to live in the light of Christ's victory over sin and death.
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. and admission will be by ticket (more details soon).
