Dear friends,

It is hard to believe that it is almost a year since I began to serve you as your superintendent minister. We seem to have crammed a lot into this year.

I am really enjoying my time with you and would like to thank all those who help me enjoy serving you!

There have been many high points over the year. Exploring family services at Central, Christmas and of course anniversary celebrations at both churches were real times of celebration. I have also enjoyed getting to grips with the reality of seeking a future for Central Hall and in turn the circuit.

By way of a thank you for the welcome you gave me I along with my family would like to welcome you to our home at 13, The Oval on Saturday 23rd August 1pm-4pm. I think Vivienne will be welcoming people she has worked with too, so I hope we have a house full. The kettle will be on and I’m sure we will have some biscuits too.

It provides another opportunity to get to know each other as we seek to serve God together in the future.

God bless,

Luke

QUIET REFLECTION

by Dean Martin

We need a special time of rest,

Praying for different requests,

Because we have a daily need,

To get along and succeed!

Then not asking for too much!

Just the advice to stay in touch.,

To go forward, not fall behind,

Positive thinking in our mind.

Look at ourselves in another way,

No negative thoughts, let us stray,

Quiet reflection, in perfect peace,

in itself, is a great stress release!!

Sharing with the Lord, is sublime,

Making fiill use of our given time,

His very presence is loyal and true,

And the greatest comfort for you!

Staring at the mirror as it reflects,

 Find a moment discover yourself,

Because when having faith in God,

It will give you the spiritual wealth!
